Facebook kauft Moves: Jetzt kennen sie auch eure Bewegungsprofile
Das soziale Netzwerk Facebook ist weiter auf Einkaufstour und hat sich jetzt die Schrittzähler-Applikation Moves einverleibt. Anders als konkurrierende Aktivitäts-Tracker zeichnete sich Moves – unter anderem hier und hier in bei ifun.de berücksichtigt – durch die Erstellung eines Bewegungsprofils aus.
Die Moves-App zählte nicht nur die gegengenen Meilen, sondern unterschied auch zwischen Arbeitsplatz, der Strecke zum Wohnort und der Runde im Park. Im Februar 2013 schrieben wir etwa „Schrittzähler-App Moves verzichtet auf Hardware, katalogisiert Ortswechsel, Radtouren und Spaziergänge“.

Wie WhatsApp und Instagram soll auch Moves vorerst als eigenständiges Produkt weitergeführt werden und nicht sofort im Facebook Morast versinken. Wie viel Geld sich Facebook die Tracking-App hat kosten lassen, steht derzeit noch nicht fest.
