Der lange Text liefert wenig Hintergrundinfos zum Fall (Googles Voice-Applikation ist bislang noch nicht zugelassen worden, da es Teile der Kern-Funktionalit\u00e4t des iPhones kopiert, befindet sich aber weiterhin im Review-Prozess) und kaut auf weiten Strecken die bereits bekannten, offiziellen Statements zum AppStore wieder. Die wohl spannendste Frage „What are the standards for considering and approving iPhone applications<\/em>“ umschifft Apple mit einem Verweis auf die bekannten „developers-guidelines“ und berichtet von den grunds\u00e4tzlich hohen Qualit\u00e4ts-Standards des AppStores:<\/p>\n

„There are more than 40 full-time trained reviewers, and at least two different reviewers study each application so that the review process is applied uniformly. Apple also established an App Store executive review board that determines procedures and sets policy for the review process, as well as reviews applications that are escalated to the board because they raise new or complex issues.
