Eigentlich hat das Webkit Blog<\/a> – Webkit<\/a>, das ist die Browser-Engine die sowohl in Safari, als auch in MobileSafari zur Anwendung kommt – gestern nur auf die Verf\u00fcgbarkeit einer neuen Nightly-Build<\/a> aufmerksam gemacht, die nun auch CSS-Animationen auf dem Desktop unterst\u00fctzt. Das iPhone ist hierzu schon l\u00e4nger in der Lage, auch wenn uns das noch experimentelle Feature beim Browsen noch nicht aufgefallen ist. Macrumors<\/a> zitiert das Webkit Blog mit folgender Aussage:<\/p>\n

„CSS Animations is one of the enhancements to CSS proposed by the WebKit project that we’ve been calling CSS Effects (eg. gradients, masks, transitions). The goal is to provide properties that allow Web developers to create graphically rich content. In many cases animations are presentational, and therefore belong in the styling system. This allows developers to write declarative rules for animations, replacing lots of hard-to-maintain animation code in JavaScript.<\/em>„<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
